ČO JE BIM? BIM (Building Information Modelling) je kooperatívny spôsob práce založený na digitálnych technológiách, ktoré odomykajú efektívnejšie metódy navrhovania, vytvárania a údržby aktív. BIM je inteligentný digitálny spôsob modelovania filtrov v projektoch. Dáta v rámci tohto modelu sa generujú a používajú počas návrhu, výstavby a správy budovy.

PREČO BIM? V roku 2011 vláda Spojeného kráľovstva zverejnila svoju Stavebnú stratégiu, ktorá načrtla požiadavku na plne kolaboratívny 3D BIM ako povinný proces verejného obstarávania budov pre všetky budovy nad 5 miliónov libier od roku 2016. Hlavným cieľom je znížiť kapitálové náklady a uhlíkovú záťaž z výstavby a prevádzky zastavaného prostredia o 20 %.
